1+1=3 functioned as an international collective with the aim of producing an experimental magazine. Through an ecosystem of digital shared platforms and weekly video meetings, meaningful creative connections were established in pandemic times. This worked as support therapy to overcome isolation at a time that left as with unsettling fear and confusion.

Two editions emerged from collective decisions and concepts, subgroups, and unexpected long-distance collaborations, enabling for a radically free space on paper which gathered points of view, struggles, message of hope through a diversity of content: poetry, photography, design, performances, experiments, questions, net-art, collage, activism, sound and games, among others.

A de-centralized production and open source distribution happened simultaneously in Amsterdam, Bielefeld, Berlin, Luxembourg, München, Linz, Innsbruck, Bolzano, Milano, Torino, Bologna, Budapest, Jerusalem and others.

Starting from the end of the lockdown the project sleeps, waiting for the next one to be continued.
